“Dragon Ball Z Episode 279” is an excellent episode of the series. It was very well-done and showed very strong work by the writer and producers. The characters were well developed and likeable, with good British accents. The setting was uses for the show it’s own voice, which was great. This episode had everything: action, adventure, suspense, and just right amount of love and care for the viewers. The writing was good too, nothing wrong with that, except that there could have been more development on some character relationships.
The stand out performance from this episode was particulary because it was spent on Gokuu and his family. Although we saw him for just five minutes in a movie theater last week, he felt like one of the main characters in the show. He was engaging, good natured, and had a lot of potential; but he was wasted this episode. Raditz only lasted for fifteen minutes max, and his insofar as to do business with Gokuu was not at all necessary or helpful. Overall, this is an excellent episode of Dragon Ball Z and would be 5 stars if possible.
